The Total Defence Research Institute (FOI) is a government agency conducting world-leading research in defense and security to support Sweden's military and civil defense. The research spans several areas, including underwater, cyber defense, space, electronic warfare, sensor systems, civil defense, CBRNe (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive substances), military platforms including weapons and protection, as well as security policy analysis. FOI's research plays a key role in building Sweden's defense capability.
Are you working with security protection and want to contribute to a systematic security protection effort in a creative and research-intensive environment? Then FOI could be your new workplace. We offer a balanced work life, a developing work environment, and a mission of societal importance.
About the Position
As a security protection specialist with an international focus, you will play a central role in supporting the agency's development, management, and application of international agreements in security protection and information security. You will help translate international requirements and commitments into appropriate internal applications and working methods. The work involves interpreting and analyzing international requirements, agreements, and regulations to ensure that the agency's internal governance, processes, and applications comply with applicable commitments. You will serve as a qualified support in dialogues and collaboration with external parties and contribute to developing the forms of international security protection work. Through environmental monitoring, you will follow developments in the field and identify, propose, and in some cases lead collaboration initiatives that strengthen the agency's international cooperation. You will also support projects that have international collaboration.
In the security protection unit, you are an important resource that contributes both operationally within the security protection area and strengthens internal competence through knowledge transfer. Your tasks include participating in preparations and supporting the development of cases related to bilateral and multilateral collaborations. You will also participate in the work with internal governing documents, provide advice on the application of existing international agreements, and ensure a comprehensive overview of relevant international agreements and collaborations. The role also includes contributing to the development of the agency's international function in security protection.
About the Unit
You will be part of the Security Protection unit, which is part of the Director General's management support.
